The United American Muslim Association strives to ensure that Muslims can perform their sacrificial worship in the best way and offers three great opportunities:
- You can donate your qurbani to the Quran students in North America,
- You can donate it to our brothers and sisters overseas who are in need of financial aid (such as Africa, Haiti, Mexico, Dominic, Guatemala, etc.),
- You can request your Qurbani to any address in the USA with a cold air chain guarantee.
The United American Muslim Association will buy your sacrifice on your behalf, and under the supervision of the Hodjas and professional butchers that will have your animal slaughtered in accordance with Islamic rules.
Then, if you want, they will bring it to your home or donate on your behalf.
All you will need to do is give your Wakalah (Permission), we will do everything on your behalf in accordance with Islamic rules.
We will inform you at every step. [And we will notify you when your sacrifice is slaughtered]

What is Qurbani / Udhiyyah?
Qurbani / Udhiyyah is one of the five animals (sheep, goat, cattle, camel and buffalo) which are offered as sacrifice on the 10th, 11th, 12th days of Dhul-Hijjah in order to fulfil a Wajib (incumbent) act of ibâdah (worship) and closeness to Allâh (Ta'ala).
Why should I perform Qurbani, what is the benefit?
Performing Qurbani is a form of gratitude shown towards Allahu SWT for all the offerings and blessings. It is a form of a gracious worship that brings you closer to Allahu SWT. It is recommended to perform Qurbani to attain any desires. It is recommended in the Islamic following according to customs and religious values to perform this act. You may perform a Shukur Qurbani to show gratitude for something materialistic, a Sheefa Qurbani for someone who is ill, a Shukur Qurbani for a newborn child, an Aqiqah Qurbani to practice the Sunnah of the Prophet SAV, or a Nafilah Qurbani for many other things.
Why Islam Commands to perform sacrifice?
After the sacrifice of prophet Ibrahim, it is obliged to every Muslim (if he can afford) to perform animal sacrifice during the days of Eid-ul-Adha in commemoration of that one.
Is Sacrifice fardh, wajib or sunnah?
Though it is wajib (an obligatory act) still it is highly recommended to perform the sacrifice if you can afford it. Many scholars also refer to it as a Sunnah as it was performed by our Holy Prophet (PBUH) also. However, in all ways, it results in immense rewards.
On Whom the animal sacrifice is obligated and when?
Every Adult Muslim (the one who has reached the age of puberty) and owns enough belongings to pay Zakat is eligible also to perform Qurbani/Udhiyah on one of the days of Eid-ul-Adha.

Is it compulsory to sacrifice only animals on Eid-ul Adha?
Yes, it is compulsory to perform the only animal sacrifice on Eid-ul-Adha, in commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim's sacrifice merely for the sake of Allahu SWT.
Which animals are eligible for qurbani?
The sheep, goat, cow, or camel can be sacrificed as an obligatory sacrifice. 1 goat is equivalent to 1 Qurbani, and similarly, 1 cow would be equal to (1*7) Qurbani.
Who is eligible for Qurbani meat?
The people who deserve and are poverty-stricken enough that they can not even afford meat for themselves, are eligible for this Qurbani meat.
Can Qurbani meat be distributed to non Muslims Also?
Yes, because Islam is a religion of affection, it does not prohibit us from offering Qurbani meat to non-Muslims. But if particular non-Muslims community is involved in killing and fighting Muslims, then it does not allow us in this regard.
What is the distribution rule of Qurban meat in Islam?
The Qurbani distribution rule states that slaughtered animals should be divided into 3 parts equally, then the meat should be distributed among the donor, relatives & deserving people during Eid days.
For How long Qurbani meat can be stored?
It is permissible in Islam to preserve Qurbani meat for more than the 3 days (the Eid days), as a hadith narrates: “Eat, feed others, and store [of your Udhiyahs].” (Muslim) But it should not be stored for a longer period.
Can we perform sacrifice or Qurbani on behalf of the deceased?
According to few religious scholars, Islam permits to perform the voluntary sacrifice on behalf of the deceased.
What is the difference between obligated sacrifice & charitable sacrifice?
Charitable sacrifice refers to donations given voluntarily, while obligated sacrifice is obligatory worship, which is obliged on Muslims, to be performed especially during Eid-ul-Adha days, under specific conditions.
Is there any donation limit on charitable sacrifice?
No, there is no limit defined for charitable sacrifice, as that is solely a voluntary act with the intent to get rewarded by Allah almighty.
