Caring To Pray Fajr And Isha Salah In Jama'ah

Ashab Al-Kiram (the noble companions) paid great care in performing Fajr and Isha Salah in Jama’ah (congregation). It is because, Rasûlullâh (Sallalâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said: “Indeed, two Salah are the most burdensome on the Munafiqs (hypocrites). They are Fajr and Isha. Had they known about their rewards; they would have hastened to (perform) them.”

Abdullah Bin Umar Al-Qawariri (Radhiyallahu Anhu), the great Muhaddith (scholar of Hadith) narrated: “I previously didn’t miss the performance of Isha Salah in Jama’ah. One day, a visitor came to my house, which caused me to miss the Jama’ah of Isha Salah as I was busy with him. When I went to the Masajid in Basra to pray Isha Salah, I saw that all the Muslims prayed their Salah and the Masajid were locked. I recited Hadith Sharif which says, “Salah in congregation is superior to the Salah performed individually by twenty-seven degrees.” After praying Isha Salah individually, I prayed a four rakah of nafil Salah twenty-seven times hoping to be blessed with the reward of twenty-seven degrees. Then, I slept and had a dream.

In my dream, I saw that I was riding on my horse with my tribesmen who were riding further ahead of me. I was galloping on my horse to reach them. But, I could not. One of them turned behind and said to me: “Don’t gallop on your horse.You can’t reach us.” When I asked, ‘Why not?’, he said: “We prayed Isha Salah in Jama’ah and you did it individually.” I woke up in sorrow and distress. I ask Allah for help and success in this regard as indeed He is generous.”
